How Stolen Motor JA Helps Recover Vehicles

Our community-driven platform connects vehicle owners with volunteers across Jamaica to help recover stolen vehicles. Here's how it works:

01

Report Your Stolen Vehicle

If your vehicle has been stolen, create an account and report it on our platform. Provide essential information including:

  • Chassis number (Jamaica standard)
  • License plate number
  • Theft date and location
  • Police report number
  • Vehicle photos (if available)
  • Reward information (optional)

Once submitted and approved, your report becomes visible to the entire community, maximizing the chances of recovery.

Search for Stolen Vehicles

Community members and vehicle owners can search our database to:

  • Verify vehicles before purchase
  • Check suspicious vehicles
  • Monitor vehicles in your area
  • Set up watchlists for alerts

Search by chassis number or license plate to instantly check if a vehicle has been reported as stolen.

03

Get Instant Alerts (Premium)

Premium subscribers receive instant notifications via email and SMS when:

  • A vehicle matching your watchlist is reported
  • Someone reports a match for your listed vehicle
  • A vehicle matching your search criteria appears

Set up watchlists based on chassis number, license plate, brand, city, or year to stay informed instantly.

Report Potential Matches

If you spot a vehicle that might be stolen:

  • DO NOT approach the vehicle or occupants
  • Report the match through our platform
  • Provide location, date, time, and photos (if safe)
  • Contact law enforcement immediately (JCF 119)

Safety First: Always prioritize your safety. Let law enforcement handle vehicle recovery.

05

Recover Your Vehicle

When your vehicle is recovered:

  • Log in to your account
  • Update the recovery status to "Recovered"
  • Enter recovery date and location
  • The platform will notify watchlist users

Your listing will remain visible but marked as recovered, helping track recovery statistics and success stories.
